OUR 3D CONCEPTUAL DESIGNS

3D CONCEPTUAL DESIGNS enable clients to visualize and have a sense of scale for the final project at any angle of their home.

We also incorporate elements of detail including furniture and lighting placement for the final touches that are always important.

Our horticulturists can also select the best plant choices and place them within the 3D Conceptual giving our clients a complete feel for the project.

We have had it said time and time again “I just can’t look at a standard plan and imagine how the project is really going to look.” Our 3D Conceptual Design eliminates that issue for our clients.

OUR PROCESS | STEP BY STEP

We provide you, the architect or the contractor with the proper equipment specifications as well as engineered plans for the local building inspector. We can also apply for HDC approval and building permits if needed.

We offer the best value and warranty that Nantucket has to offer, but we don’t stop there — we give our clients a comprehensive outline of our work schedule

1. Meetings to get a feel for the client’s vision. Mock-ups & drafting of plans for client approval.

2. Detailed plans for Historic District Commission approval & building permits.

3. Site work: area is cleared and stripped of any organic material. String lines are laid out to mark finish elevations & dimensions.

4. Pool forming: 2×4 stakes and 2×6′s are used to create rigid forms.

5. Pool excavation & gravel subgrade: 6′′ of 3/4 gravel is spread to provide a firm footing for the concrete shell of your pool.

6. Rebar: #4 Rebar (1/2′′) is bent and tied together to create the “skeleton”, typically a 1×1′ grid of steel.

7. Plumbing & Lights: This includes main drains, skimmers, returns, jets, vacuum lines, water features, auto-fills. Low voltage electrical.

8. Inspection: Steel frame of pool is bonded and inspected to ensure code.

9. Shotcrete: Our mix design has admixtures and high levels of cement to bring the pool shell strength up to 6000 PSI

10. Auto cover (optional): Auto cover pit is constructed and tracks are installed. Switch is controlled via Key for safety.

11. Equipment pad: plumbing/lighting is run from pool to 6′ x 8′ single course 6×6′′ timbers with gravel base. We install individual valves and unions for easy disconnect & service of equipment. We recommend Pentair products for filters, pumps, chlorinators & automation.

12. Tile: 6′′ water line tile. Decorative tile on pool floor and negative edges.

13. Plaster: we use pebble plasters with many different colors, aggregates, and styles to choose from.

14. Splash!

Your pool is filled and the system is started up. Your quest for backyard paradise is complete.
